Stepping inside the L’Oréal Research and Innovation Hub in Johannesburg for an Advisory Board meeting with fellow dermatologists was an inspiring experience as one of L’Oréal’s Digital Key Opinion Leaders.

It was fascinating to get a behind the scenes look at the science and technology that go into developing some of the skincare products we use and recommend every day. Seeing the level of research, testing and innovation that happens long before a product reaches the shelf was a great reminder that good skincare is about so much more than clever marketing.

As dermatologists, we spend a lot of time talking about ingredients. It was refreshing to see the people, the research and the thinking behind them.

I even had my scalp analysed and was pleasantly surprised to see how healthy my scalp and hair is! Trust your derma! 🤞🏽

Safe to say my inner skin science enthusiast was very 🤓 .
