Huis Groeneweide in Darling is a residential program of BADISA and accommodates 64 residents. The permanent staff consists of 43 employees with an additional 6 relief staff members. With a vision aiming for happy residents who are cherished and a mission of comprehensive, sustainable and dignified care and accommodation for the elderly in a safe environment, Huis Groeneweide is dedicated to provid

🫖 High Tea: Day 4 of 5 – And This One is All About YOU!

Our High Tea was about people; about the conversations shared across tables, the laughter that filled the room, familiar faces reconnecting and new friendships being formed. It was about taking time to be present with one another — sharing stories, listening, encouraging, celebrating and simply enjoying each other’s company.

A community is built by people who show up, support one another and choose to be part of something bigger than themselves and our High Tea was a beautiful example of this. It was in the smiles, the warm greetings, the thoughtful conversations and the joyful moments shared throughout the day that the true heart of the event was found.

Thank you for being part of it. Thank you for helping turn a gathering into a genuine celebration of community.

🫖 High Tea: Day 3 of 5 – Our Wonderful Hostesses

Every beautiful table had a story to tell — and behind every table was a hostess who dedicated her time and energy to making our High Tea so special.

These remarkable ladies did far more than simply host a table. They invited guests, sold raffle tickets, planned and decorated their tables, prepared and provided delicious treats and helped create the warm, welcoming atmosphere that made the day such a success.

From elegant centrepieces and thoughtful details to beautifully presented food and heartfelt hospitality, each table reflected the unique personality, effort and care of the woman behind it. Together, they transformed the hall into a celebration of friendship and community.

🫖 High Tea: Day 2 of 5 – The Ladies Who Stole the Show

Today we honour six remarkable women who brought our Vintage Fashion Show to life.

Guests were treated to much more than beautiful outfits and vintage accessories. They witnessed confidence, grace, humour and joy on full display.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Tannie Charlotte, Tannie Kittie, Tannie Ri and Tannie Toks, who embraced the occasion with charm and enthusiasm. Walking among the guests, they captured hearts with their smiles, elegance and wonderful sense of fun.

A special thank you also goes to Sandra and Angie, who joined the ladies and helped create a truly memorable experience. Their encouragement, energy and willingness to participate added something extraordinary to the day.

Together, these women reminded us that style is timeless, confidence is beautiful and some of life's most precious moments are found in simply enjoying the occasion and sharing it with others.

Thank you for your enthusiasm and for the zest for life that you radiate so naturally. You made us smile, laugh, applaud and celebrate alongside you. Without you, the day would certainly not have been nearly as memorable.
