💙👂 A BEAUTIFUL FIRST FOR OUR NEW CLINIC 👂💙

On 27 August 2026, we proudly hosted the very first FREE hearing-screening campaign at our new Unjani Clinic George facility, situated at 2 Gloucester Avenue, Dormehls Drift.

It was a truly special beginning. From a precious 6-week-old baby to a wonderful 92-year-old senior, we had the privilege of caring for people across generations—reminding us that every person deserves the opportunity to hear, connect and flourish.

A highlight of the day was welcoming 24 joyful learners from Phakimane Daycare, who filled our new clinic with laughter, confidence and excitement. We sincerely commend the daycare for investing in its children’s health and development.

Each learner returned home with a FREE hearing-screening pack and certificate—a small keepsake representing an important step towards a brighter future. 🎒📜

Hearing plays a vital role in a child’s speech, learning, relationships and development. Early screening can identify difficulties sooner, allowing families to access the right support when it can make the greatest difference.

đź‘‚đź’› A DAY FILLED WITH LITTLE VOICES AND BIG STORIES

On 24 July 2026, we hosted a hearing screening day at our Mobile POD in Thembalethu, welcoming adults and children of all ages.

Among them were 18 energetic learners from Sondelani Day Care. Our waiting room became their stage as, one by one, they stood before their classmates, Unjani Clinic staff and patients to tell us all stories. 📖✨

They were friendly, confident and full of life. Their laughter, imagination and excitement made the day truly memorable for everyone present. 🧒🏽👧🏽

In South Africa, an estimated 3–6 in every 1,000 babies are born with hearing impairment. Early screening matters because undetected hearing difficulties can affect a child’s speech, language development, learning and confidence.

Every child deserves the opportunity to hear, communicate and reach their full potential. Early detection can make a lifelong difference. 🌱
