We’re thinking of the families and communities affected by the tragic loss of life in Ekurhuleni.
As investigations continue, there is understandable fear and uncertainty in communities across Gauteng.
We believe safety is something we all have a role in protecting.
For now, take a few simple steps to look out for yourself and those around you:
• Let someone you trust know where you’re going.
• Share your location when travelling or exercising, where possible.
• Stay connected with family, friends or your community.
• Keep your phone charged and accessible.
• If something feels unsafe, trust your instincts and move to a safer place.
• Report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.
• Check in on the people around you, especially those who may feel vulnerable.

Our thoughts are with the families, friends and communities grieving these losses.
