We ended off last week on a high note: by getting together for another Group Supervision.🌿

Social work can be complex and challenging, and we don’t have to navigate it alone. Group supervision allows us to explore difficult cases, learn from one another’s experiences, reflect on our practice, and offer each other support.

We believe that better practice starts with learning together, and learning from each other. 🤍

How do we teach young children about their bodies, boundaries and safety without creating fear or shame?

We are inviting all parents to join us for practical workshop focused on understanding body curiosity, body safety and healthy boundaries in children aged 0–6 years. 🌳

💰 R450 individual parent | R750 for two parents from the same household.

This week, we want to give a very special shout-out to two incredible Rooted ladies who have been generously sowing their time, skills and expertise back into the community over the past few months. 🌱

🌳 Fezi has been dedicating her time at Brave to Love, supporting survivors of human trafficking through counselling, while also contributing to talks and various community initiatives.

🌳Carlene recently shared her knowledge through a workshop with caregivers and teachers from a local school on the topic of sexual play and body safety in the classroom.

We are so proud of both of these ladies for the way they use their professional skills to make a meaningful difference beyond the walls of Rooted. 💚 Their dedication is a reflection of what social work is all about: using our knowledge, compassion and skills to strengthen individuals, families and communities. 🌱

🌱 July at Rooted | Monthly Recap

July was a busy month at Rooted, filled with meaningful work, connection, learning, and plenty happening behind the scenes!

✨ We facilitated a number of group work sessions, creating spaces for children to connect, learn and grow together.

🏫 We were grateful to be involved in community and school holiday projects, continuing our commitment to reaching children and families beyond the therapy room.

🤝 Our team also made time for group supervision — an important part of supporting one another, reflecting on our practice, and continuing to grow as professionals.

📸 And, of course, we gave our team photos a much-needed update as we get ready for an exciting website update! We can’t wait to share more of that with you soon.

As we’re halfway through another busy month, we’re feeling grateful for the work we get to do, the families and organisations who continue to trust us, and our wonderful Rooted team. 💚

This holiday, our team had the privilege of spending time at a community holiday programme, connecting with children, sharing moments of joy, and contributing to creating safe, enriching experiences during the school break. 💚
