One of our goals is to always lend a helping hand wherever and whenever we can. Part of that is understanding that the costs associated with a funeral, especially an unexpected one, can be very daunting. One thing the funeral industry has exposed us to, is the sheer diversity this country has to offer.

Although we meet people at their lowest, we are still fortunate enough to meet people from many different cultural backgrounds.

It may not seem like much but it has allowed us to learn and adapt in many different ways because we are able to understand how different families do things according to their different backgrounds and that is one of South Africa's strengths as a country.

Part of our busy week last week included this very small and intimate grave side service at Honingnestkrans Cemetery. Some days we may be stretched thin but we will always be there for our clients no matter what.

No words can comfort a person who has lost their child and then her husband in less than a year but what we can do is step and be there to support her through her loss the entire way. It becomes bigger than just a funeral and we have to be the ones to also provide strength and guidance to the wife who is going through a very unfortunate ordeal.

We are honoured we were trusted to yet again be the ones to provide closure for the family and give the deceased the dignified send off that he deserves. Both the father and son now lay to rest in the same cemetery.
