For those patients who still want to get their flu shots, it is not too late. We are starting to see a spike in Influenza cases. The flu vaccine takes approximately 2 weeks before sufficient immunity is provided. Remember, it only covers for the 3 most virulent strains of the Influenza A & B viruses and not a guarantee against all the other cold and respiratory virus we encounter every winter season.
