Never underestimate the power of a wish.
A memoir...I once visited a Buddhist ☸️ temple in Thailand, many years ago. There was an opportunity to give a donation and in return receive a blessing from a monk.
I had a wish that was dear to my heart. I couldn't understand it at the time but my eyes could not stop filling up with tears, I tried my best to hold them back but deep down, my soul knew the power of what I was about to unleash. I made the wish, it was released into the universe. I believe this authentic wish was the catalyst to immense change and transformation in my life. The sequence of events that unfolded after this are something that could fill an autobiography.
My wish came true.
Not in the Disney way we imagine things to happen. But in twists and turns that brought lifetimes of information, realization, karmic retribution, Ancestral healing & the catalyst for my spiritual awakening.
I learned that suffering has nothing to do with race or gender or perceived random privilege, that human suffering is human suffering. I learned that honoring oneself is not selfish because each human being is a spark of light interconnected as one human family. All actions are recorded and if you foolishly think you're getting away with something sneaky against another soul, think again. What matters is love, love for self and others.
Do not underestimate the power of a wish, particularly if it comes from a pure heart.
"May All Beings be free from suffering and the cause of suffering. May All Beings be happy and find the cause of happiness."
