🌞 The school holidays are almost here! 🌞

When children are out of their normal routines, it’s easy for screen time to increase. Let’s Play Instead! was created to help children discover positive alternatives to screen time through movement, imagination, and free play.

This English children’s book encourages children to explore simple activities that support development and can be done using everyday items. The goal is to help children rediscover the joy of play and to give adults practical ideas to make play an easy part of everyday life.

✨ Two options available:

📖 Option 1: The book – R70

🎒 Option 2: The book + play items – R250
Along with the book, you’ll receive a bag containing the simple items mentioned in the book to make the activities easy to set up and enjoy. It’s perfect to send along wherever your child goes. This is not a “lucky packet” filled with short-lived excitement, but rather thoughtfully chosen tools that encourage creativity, discovery, and free play.

Perfect to send along to:
đź’› Grandparents
đź’› Childminders and caregivers
đź’› Holiday visits to family and friends
đź’› Playdates
đź’› Teachers looking for simple play ideas for the classroom or waiting times
💛 Any home where you’d like to see more play and less screen time

📍 Available in Afrikaans and English

Exciting News at Leapfrog Occupational Therapy 🌿

We are excited to introduce Marna Smit as she joins forces with Mariette van Wijk at Leapfrog Occupational Therapy!

Marna is an Occupational Therapist with experience in children’s development, mental health, chronic pain, concussion rehabilitation, and working across a variety of healthcare settings both in South Africa and New Zealand.

Although her career has taken her far, Worcester has always been home. Born and raised in Worcester, Marna recently returned to the Boland after nearly 18 years away, bringing with her both professional experience and a deep understanding of the local community and families.

As a wife and mother herself, Marna understands the importance of supporting children and families in a practical, compassionate, and meaningful way. She is passionate about helping children build confidence, independence, and the skills needed to thrive in everyday life.
