💬 Therapy isn’t always about breakthroughs. Sometimes the most important thing happening in the room is nothing you can name: a quiet settling, a slow unfurling.

✨ Masud Khan called this state “lying fallow”: not stagnation, but a necessary stillness in which the deeper work of becoming takes root. As he understood it, genuine transformation requires this unhurried, fallow state. The therapist who rushes to interpret or resolve may actually foreclose the very process they’re trying to foster.

🫧 Good therapy holds space for the in-between. It trusts the pace of the person, not the pressure of progress. Real progress brings lasting change, not a quick fix.
