Peptide treatments have made headlines this weekend 🧬
On 23 and 24 July, an FDA advisory committee recommended that six peptides — BPC-157, KPV, TB-500, MOTS-C, Epitalon and Semax — may qualify for pharmacy compounding in the United States.
The FDA has not approved these peptides as medicines. The committee’s vote remains a recommendation, and compounded medicines do not pass through the same FDA review for safety, effectiveness or quality as approved medicines.
The update may support safer, more regulated access in the future. However, safe care must start with a qualified doctor, never an online seller.
Before any peptide treatment, Dr Nazia Dr Nazia Salam will review your medical history, current medicines, health goals and possible risks. Relevant baseline tests help Dr Nazia assess suitability and create a safe follow-up plan.
Product quality also matters. Patients should only use a licensed, regulated compounding pharmacy with clear standards for identity, purity, sterility, storage and traceability.
For clear, evidence-led advice, please book a consultation with Dr Nazia at Genesis.
