A Little About Me & My Spiritual Journey

Hi, my name is Jannelle, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve experienced the world a little differently.

My spiritual journey began when I was just eight years old. I remember asking my grandmother what the beautiful colours surrounding people meant. To me, they had always been there, as natural as seeing someone’s hair or the clothes they wore. It was through her that I first learned about auras and began to understand that not everyone saw the world as I did.

As I grew older, my ability to perceive these colours developed into a deeper understanding of the energy surrounding people. I experience aura reading naturally, without photographs, special lighting or backgrounds. It’s simply part of how I’ve always seen the world.

Alongside aura reading, I also practise Tarot and what is traditionally known as the sight — an intuitive connection that allows me to look beyond what’s immediately visible and explore the deeper messages, patterns and energies surrounding a situation.

Tarot has become another meaningful part of my spiritual practice, offering an opportunity for reflection, clarity and a deeper understanding of ourselves and the possibilities ahead.

My journey is one of continual learning. I believe that having a gift doesn’t mean there is nothing left to discover, and I am always looking to strengthen my intuition and expand my understanding.

More recently, I’ve felt drawn towards the ancient wisdom of herbs, plants and traditional spiritual practices. I’m currently studying herbalism, the historical and spiritual uses of herbs, and the art of preparing tinctures. I’m fascinated by the connection between nature, folklore and the knowledge passed down through generations.

For me, spirituality isn’t something I discovered later in life; it’s been woven into who I am since childhood.

From that little eight-year-old girl asking her grandmother about the colours she could see, to the woman I am today, I’ve always been curious about the unseen and the deeper meaning behind our experiences.

I believe there is beauty in remaining a student of the universe, and my journey is far from finished. ✨

For Aboriginal peoples, connection to Country, ancestors, native plants and traditional knowledge has been maintained across thousands of generations. Native plants, including eucalyptus, hold an important place in many Aboriginal cultural practices. Traditional cleansing ceremonies are not simply about the physical act of cleansing; they can carry deep spiritual, cultural and ancestral significance.

Traditional practices differ between Nations and families, with certain knowledge and ceremonies held by those with the appropriate cultural authority to share them. They are not simply techniques to be replicated, but living traditions deserving of respect.

The sound of the traditional clap sticks, together with the eucalyptus leaves, brings another dimension to Fee’s offering, honouring the significance of traditional instruments and the passing down of cultural knowledge.
