Nutrition can play an important role in supporting overall health, fertility and the management of conditions such as endometriosis.

In this video, Dietitians Paige and Nikita from Pearl Fertility Dietitian discuss how tailored nutrition advice may help support women navigating endometriosis and fertility concerns, and why an individualised approach is so important.

Like many aspects of reproductive health, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Understanding your unique needs and circumstances can help you make informed choices and feel more supported throughout your journey.

If you would like to learn more or arrange an appointment, please don't hesitate to contact the team at Adelaide Obstetrics and Fertility on (08) 8272 7755.

Pregnancy often comes with a mix of emotions, excitement, anticipation, uncertainty and moments where everything suddenly starts to feel very real.

At Adelaide Obstetrics and Fertility, we believe feeling supported throughout that experience matters just as much as the medical care itself. From the big milestones to the quieter in-between moments, our focus is always on helping you feel informed, reassured and cared for at every stage.

It is a privilege to be trusted with such an important part of our patients’ lives.

You may have noticed a new name being used in place of PCOS.

PCOS is now officially known as PMOS, or Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome, following extensive international research and consultation with both healthcare professionals and women living with the condition.

For many, this change is about more than just language. It is an important step towards recognising the full impact the condition can have on a woman’s health, beyond the ovaries alone. The updated name better reflects the hormonal and metabolic nature of PMOS and acknowledges that many women previously felt the term PCOS did not fully reflect their experience.

While the name has changed, the experiences of women living with the condition have not. Greater awareness and understanding can help women feel more informed, validated and supported in their care.

At Adelaide Obstetrics and Fertility, we are committed to continuing conversations around women’s health and providing care that feels informed, compassionate and personalised. If you have questions about PMOS or what this update means for you, please don’t hesitate to contact our team.

What happens in those very first moments after a baby is born?

In this video, Adelaide Obstetrics and Fertility-affiliated Paediatrician Dr Subashni Maharaj shares a beautiful insight into the “golden hour” after birth, and the important role this time plays in helping a baby transition from life in the womb into the world.

While these first moments are often filled with excitement and emotion for families, they are also a major sensory adjustment for a newborn. From warmth and comfort to noise, light and touch, every part of this transition is carefully supported by the care team around you.

It is a powerful reminder of just how much thought, care and gentleness goes into supporting babies and their families from the very beginning.

If you have questions about your baby’s early care, please don’t hesitate to contact the team at Adelaide Obstetrics and Fertility. We are here to listen, answer your questions and support you every step of the way.
