Good News Friday
At Ancora National, capacity building is all about developing new skills, building confidence, and creating opportunities for greater independence.
This week, we are celebrating Michael, who recently took part in a fun and engaging cooking activity at home with the support of Chantal. Together, they made a delicious homemade pizza, giving Michael the opportunity to practise valuable life skills such as following instructions, preparing ingredients, making choices, and working safely in the kitchen.

Learning new skills through everyday activities is a great way to build confidence and independence, and Michael did an amazing job embracing the challenge.

Well done, Michael, and thank you, Chantal, for your wonderful support.

Good News Friday: Celebrating Logan's 1 Year Milestone at Coles!

At Ancora National, we love sharing stories of success, and this Good News Friday we are celebrating an incredible achievement by Logan, who has officially completed one year of employment with Coles!

Reaching a year of employment is a fantastic milestone and reflects Logan's dedication, commitment, and hard work. Over the past 12 months, Logan has continued to show up, work hard, and build his skills in the workplace.
This achievement is something he should be immensely proud of.
A special mention also goes to Brenton, who has been supporting Logan throughout his employment journey.

From daily encouragement and assistance with routines to supporting workplace tasks and maintaining employment, Brenton has been there every step of the way. This is exactly what true support is all about helping individuals build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their goals through consistent and meaningful encouragement.

The partnership between Logan and Brenton is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when determination and quality support come together.
Logan, we are so proud of you and everything you have achieved over the last year. Your hard work and commitment have paid off, and this milestone deserves to be celebrated.

Feel Good Friday Story

We love celebrating moments that show what’s possible when passion, determination, and the right support come together.

Nathaniel has always enjoyed exploring buses and transport, and recently discovered a growing passion for radio. Together, Nathaniel and his support worker Cassie worked hard to connect with the right people and turn that interest into a real life opportunity.

Their efforts led to an incredible behind-the-scenes radio station tour with Ben & Liam, where Nathaniel was able to learn about the industry, ask questions, and explore potential employment and volunteering opportunities.
The highlight of the day wasn't just the tour, it was seeing Nathaniel's excitement, confidence, and genuine joy as he experienced something he had been dreaming about.

Moments like these remind us that sometimes a single opportunity can create memories that last a lifetime and inspire someone to think bigger about their future.

We are incredibly proud of Nathaniel for stepping forward, pursuing his interests, and embracing new opportunities. His journey is a powerful reminder that with determination and the right support, amazing things can happen.

Friday Good News from Ancora National

We are celebrating Caitlin this Friday!

Caitlin has always had a passion for animals, and at Ancora National we have been supporting her to follow that passion by getting her out into environments where she truly thrives. Her time at the animal farm has been a highlight giving her the chance to connect with animals, build practical skills, and grow in confidence with every visit.

It’s been wonderful to see Caitlin flourish, and she’s now feeling more confident about taking the next steps toward volunteering and future employment in animal care.

A fantastic example of how passion, support, and opportunity can come together to create something really special.

Monday Good News Story: Tyler’s Continued Success

We are kicking off the week with some fantastic news about one of our participants, Tyler

At Ancora National, we have been working closely with Tyler in his workplace, supporting him to build important skills that are helping him succeed each day. A strong focus has been placed on time management, and Tyler has made excellent progress in organising his workload and staying on top of his responsibilities.

We have also supported Tyler in developing a professional presentation, and it’s been wonderful to see his growing confidence and pride in how he presents himself at work. Alongside this, Tyler has embraced the importance of teamwork, becoming a reliable and positive member of his team.

Thanks to his hard work and commitment, Tyler is now being trusted with more tasks and responsibilities at work a great achievement that reflects his progress and dedication.

Ancora National continues to be there every step of the way, making sure Tyler has the support he needs to grow, succeed, and maintain his employment.

Ancora National Wednesday Story

A few weeks ago at Ancora National, Chloe showed a great example of building independence and trying something new.

After trying hot pot out in the community, Chloe decided she wanted to recreate it at home. With a clear goal in mind, she took the initiative to visit Coles on her own and purchase all the ingredients she needed. This was a fantastic step in developing her everyday living skills and confidence.
Chloe planned what she needed, found the items in store, and completed her shopping independently. These are important skills, and it was great to see her take them on with such a positive attitude.

Once she returned home, Chloe followed through and successfully recreated the hot pot experience, turning something she enjoyed into something she could do herself.
This is exactly what we love seeing, Chloe building her skills in the community, trying new things, and growing in confidence each step of the way.

Moments like this show how powerful it can be to step outside your comfort zone and give something new a go.
We’re so proud of you Chloe.

Monday Good News Story Ancora National
At Ancora National, we believe every journey matters and today we are proud to share an inspiring story that perfectly reflects what can happen when the right support, determination, and teamwork come together.

We would like to celebrate our new participant Ivan, who has achieved something truly remarkable in just a short space of time. After completing only three shifts with Ancora National, Ivan has already taken a huge step forward in his journey toward employment, proving that with the right mindset and support, anything is possible.

Ivan was recently introduced to our new support worker Barry, and within just two visits, something incredible happened. Together, Ivan and Barry planned and carried out a visit to Barrossa Enterprises, where Ivan had the opportunity to go on a factory tour, an experience that turned out to be an absolute highlight.

From the very beginning, Ivan showed enthusiasm and courage. After being out of work for over eight years, taking that step back into an employment environment can be daunting, but Ivan embraced the opportunity with confidence. During the visit, he was eager to explore the workspace, connect with the management team, and ask questions about potential employment opportunities. His willingness to engage and step outside his comfort zone was truly inspiring.

Barry’s support in this process has been outstanding. In such a short time, he was able to build trust with Ivan and quickly turn a conversation into real action. This is what we strive for at Ancora National responsive, person-centred support that meets participants where they are and helps them move forward with purpose.

At Ancora National, we often say we are there from start to finish of the journey, and Ivan’s story is a perfect example of what that means. Everyone has their own reason to work their own goals, dreams, and motivations and we are here to help uncover and support those ambitions so each individual can become a superstar in their own right.

This experience at Barrossa Enterprises is just the beginning. It shows what can happen when people work together, stay proactive, and believe in the possibilities ahead. It’s a powerful reminder that even after years away from the workforce, progress can happen quickly with the right support and determination.

We are incredibly proud of Ivan and the progress he has already made in such a short time. His journey is only just beginning, and we are excited to see what comes next.

Good Friday Success Story from National

Ancora National is proud to share a truly inspiring story that highlights the power of listening, support, and meaningful goal setting.

Nathaniel, one of our newer participants, has been with Ancora National for only a few months, but in that short time, he has already made incredible progress toward his NDIS goals. One of Nathaniel’s key aspirations is employment, and more specifically, his passion lies in working with buses whether that’s cleaning them or being involved in their daily operations.

At Ancora National, we believe that every dream matters. So, we did what we do best we listened.

Understanding Nathaniel’s interest, his support worker Cassie went above and beyond to create a memorable and meaningful experience. Wanting to encourage and inspire him, Cassie organised a surprise visit during one of Nathaniel’s shifts to a local bus depot. This wasn’t just a visit it was an opportunity.

During the visit, Nathaniel had the chance to meet and speak directly with the management team, gaining firsthand insight into the industry and exploring what potential opportunities might look like for him in the future. It was a moment of connection, learning, and possibility.
What made this experience even more special was seeing Nathaniel’s reaction his smile said it all. In that moment, he wasn’t just visiting a bus depot he was taking a real step toward his employment goals.

At Ancora National, we are passionate about helping our participants turn their goals into reality. Nathaniel’s journey is a beautiful reminder of what can be achieved when we work together, listen closely, and create opportunities that matter.

We are incredibly proud of Nathaniel. In such a short time, he is already ticking off important milestones with the support of the Ancora National team.
