Who’s in your corner right now? 💜

If you’re not sure, or it’s something you’re still figuring out, this is a really helpful read by Autism Australia, with some great tips on where to find your people (and just how important they are) 👇

Social connections are essential for autistic individuals. Learn how to build a diverse, positive support network for meaningful relationships.

Around the middle of the year, the NDIA usually updates the price limits providers can charge for supports, so you might notice some providers adjusting their rates not too long after.

It doesn’t always happen, and it can pop up at other times too… but it’s a pretty normal part of how things change over time.

If you do see an increase, it can help to take a moment to understand what’s changed and what you should do. We’ve put together a simple guide to walk you through it, read it here 👇

Quick question for today 💭
When was the last time an app or website left you feeling frustrated?

Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day, a chance to pause and think about how people with disability experience the online world, and how we can make things better 💻

For many of us, things like tiny text, missing captions, or forms that just don’t cooperate can completely block access, and with so much of the NDIS (and everyday life) happening online, that really matters.

But… it’s not all doom and broken buttons, things are getting better.

More apps, websites and devices are building in features like voice control, captions, screen readers and simpler layouts, all the kind of things that make life a bit easier (when they’re done well).

There’s still a way to go, but progress like this counts.

So we’re curious…
what’s a tool or feature you use that just works for you?

Quick heads up if you use the 'my NDIS' app 📱

Make sure to update the app on your phone before May 31 so that it keeps running smoothly.

It's easy, just open the app and follow the steps in the pop up message. Or if you've got automatic updates on, you're already sorted 🙌. If you're having trouble, just reach out to the NDIA for help.

All set for smooth app using 👍

Disabled.
Deal with it. 💥

We are LOVING this campaign by Youth Disability Advocacy Network - YDAN that flips the script on assumptions, awkwardness, and “not sure what to say” moments. It's led by young people with disability, and saying exactly what needs to be said.

Watch the video (you won't be disappointed, promise), then check out the free tools and resources here if you’re keen to learn more 👇
