💜 Can you help support women’s health training in Alice Springs?

Family Planning NT is looking for volunteer tutor clients to support the practical component of its upcoming Well Women’s Training Course in Alice Springs.

The course helps Nurses, Midwives and Aboriginal Health Practitioners — including many working in remote communities — build practical skills across women’s health. As part of their training, participants need the opportunity to undertake supervised cervical screening with experienced women’s health clinicians.

📅 Thursday 8 & Friday 9 October 2026
📍 Alice Springs
💜 Volunteers receive a $40 gratuity for their time.

You do not need to be currently due for a cervical screen to volunteer. If you are due, your specimen can be processed as it normally would be.

They need at least 30 volunteers, so if you’re comfortable participating, your time will make a genuine contribution to developing the skills of health professionals caring for women across the NT.

🏍️ Just another night in Alice Springs… riding a motorcycle through the pub! 😂

Our Clinic Manager Eloise and her partner Andy were among the 107 motorcyclists who rode through Bojangles Saloon as part of a world record attempt during Red CentreNATS!

While the riders fell just short of the 125 bikes needed for the record, we reckon being able to say “I rode my motorbike through Bojangles” is still a pretty cool claim to fame. 🙌🏍️ We are also pretty sure that no one did it with quite as much style and pizazz!

What a fun way to get amongst the action and horsepower of Red CentreNATS — well done Eloise and Andy!

Central Clinic are incredibly proud of Receptionist Celia who recently took on the National Breast Cancer Foundation Run Challenge 🎀. 56 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer every day, so Celia set out to run 56km to help raise funds for breast cancer research.
