Yesterday our crew went to InfraBuild to get a look at the metal recycling industry! Ross, Rachael and Simon at the site gave an excellent tour answering the questions our young people had with skill and passion. We got to look at the insides of the industry with detailed explanations of machines and techniques for effective recycling and transportation of scrap metal. Thanks for all of the support from the staff at InfraBuild! 🙏

We have exciting news! Our Managing Director Jo & our creative participant Billy, have published a book! We have the Book Launch on Sunday 23rd August at our PosAbilities HQ at 1pm. Our PosA cooking team are catering, the Cafe team are providing hot drinks, we have a team selling the books & our function team are putting it all together!! While people are hard at work doing volunteering at the Salvos and others are cooking up a storm in the kitchen - the rest are hands on developing some very important work skills in the florist cafe! 😎

Another amazing industry visit to Wests Illawarra Wests Illawarra this week. Thanks to Rebecca, head of HR for her wealth of knowledge (no question was off limits) and Natalia. Our team loved the visit & learned lots. 🙏

What have you been doing @ PosAbilities lately? Started with a super helpful & enlightening visit to Apprenticeships Australia, where Jenny & Tony provided fantastic information on apprenticeships & preparing resumes. We were back volunteering at the Salvos. Work skills in our onsite florist cafe. Cooking up a storm in the kitchen - yummy chicken enchiladas and berry & white chocolate muffins. 10 Steps to Happiness program was all about Mindfulness where one of our activities was eating chocolate brownies mindfully! On top of that we had plenty of coffee making, flower deliveries and time for some challenging games! And it’s only Wednesday! We love what we do!
