Each year Diabetes Australia uses National Diabetes Week as an opportunity to raise awareness and understanding of the condition.

This year's focus is the need for equitable access to life-changing diabetes technology such as continuous glucose monitoring devices and insulin pumps. Currently, access to such essential devices varies depending on a person’s type of diabetes and other factors.

If you need help and advice about managing your diabetes, a great place to start is with a diabetes educator who will provide expert care and support, as well as referrals to other important health practitioners including optometrists, podiatrists and dietitians. They can also advise what diabetes technology is available to you and provide pathways to gain access.

Please note that the Ballan UFS Pharmacy will be closed on Tuesday 26 May due to a scheduled power outage. If you are in urgent need of medication, or are scheduled to pick up your regular medications that day our Bacchus Marsh Village UFS Pharmacy will able to assist with all your requirements and will be open 8:30 am - 6:00 pm. Regular opening hours will resume at Ballan UFS Pharmacy from Wednesday 27 May.
