These practical signs are great to introduce during everyday meals and snack times, helping children communicate their choices and requests. Watch our team demonstrate the signs, then have a go together next time bread or cheese is on the menu! 🀟✨

Today our MTS team proudly wore their denim for Jeans for Genes Day! πŸ‘–πŸ’™

Jeans for Genes Day raises awareness and vital funds to support children and families living with genetic conditions. We loved coming together as a team to support this important cause - one pair of jeans at a time! 🧬✨

Not every day looks the same - and that's okay.

Many neurodivergent children experience fluctuating capacity, meaning their ability to manage everyday tasks can vary from day to day, or even from hour to hour. This isn't about motivation or behaviour - it's a natural part of how their nervous system responds to different demands.

Understanding fluctuating capacity helps us respond with empathy, adjust expectations, and provide the right support when it's needed most.

πŸƒπŸ’ Sign of the Week: FAST & SLOW πŸ’πŸƒ

This week we're learning the signs for fast and slow!

These are fun signs to use during everyday play and routines. Try signing while racing to the car, riding bikes, reading a story, or watching animals move.

πŸ’™ Use them in simple phrases like:
β€’ "The car is fast."
β€’ "The turtle is slow."
β€’ "Let's walk slowly."
β€’ "Now let's run fast!"

Using signs during everyday activities helps children build their communication skills in meaningful and engaging ways.

Have fun practising this week's signs together! πŸ™Œ

Hands-on activities like these are a wonderful way to build creativity, communication, teamwork and fine motor skills- all while having so much fun! πŸ’™

We can't wait for the next school holiday adventures!

In this month's blog, we share practical strategies to help you recognise what your child needs in the moment and simple ideas you can use at home, school or in the community.

He is absolutely gorgeous, and we all agreed we could happily stare at his sweet little facial expressions all day. It was so lovely to see both mum and bub doing so well! πŸ₯°
