Medicare Assignment of Billing Changes to the Bulk Billing process from 1st July 2026. We are a mixed billing practice, so this will affect those consults eligible for bulk billing.

✅In person consultations, please see reception before you leave the practice.
✅Phone consultations, you may receive a call from reception for payment or an SMS after your consult, requesting your consent for AoB.
✅Consent is required to be obtained, for each bulk billed visit.

Earlier in the year Duchess Medical Practice welcomed our new GP Registrars, Emma Donlon and Ailbe Ni Ghriofa to the team. Both Emma and Ailbhe are originally from Ireland, they are both enjoying the active south west lifestyle and are keen to continue their training in Busselton.

Our clinics now use HotDoc to send an SMS to patients needing a "non-urgent" appointment to discuss test results and or correspondence.
The SMS will ask you to click on a link, then verify your details before directing you to make a booking.
We acknowledge the hesitation to click on links but assure you that this site is completely secure. It is the most time efficient and effective way to deliver instructions on non-urgent test results and recalls.

Duchess will now also SMS patients if their test results are in and do not require any further action.

The successful applicant will be working part-time within our busy treatment room providing high quality care to our patients that Duchess Medical Practice has been providing the community for over 30 years.
The position requires a variety of nursing skills, extensive knowledge of triaging patients and current childhood and adult immunisation competency.

With the recent spike in Covid-19 cases in WA, below is some information for our patients about staying safe during this time.

If you test positive to Covid-19 stay at home for 5 full days, return a negative test before going into the community and ensure you don't have any symptoms. More information is available from the Healthy WA website:
