Busselton Community Safe Space

Busselton Community Safe Space BCSS is a ‘drop in’ style space for people struggling with emotional their emotional wellbeing and/or suicidal thoughts. We've been there. We will listen.

Do you love what we do and want to get involved behind the scenes? Maybe you've felt called to help out but peer support on shift isn't for you.
We have openings for Secretary and General Board Members. Consider joining our Board and support the growth of this organisation!
Our Board is not like other Boards... it's not easy to describe but there's a magical kind of community within our organisation of volunteers, Board included, with a really welcoming, come-as-you-are approach where all lived experience is deeply valued and helps to shape the direction of our charity. Big things are planned in our future, and we would love you to get in touch if you would like to contribute.

We know the hardest part is getting through the door. We see you, we see your courage. It can be daunting, though have no doubt, the warmest welcome and a true safe space awaits on the other side of that door.

Food, hot drinks, games, music, craft, anything you feel like you'd like to do, let's make it happen! Not to mention the incredible humans inside who all get it.

Do you know our vision is a community where everyone is seen, heard and valued? That's what you'll find beyond that door. We hope to see you tonight!

Photos of photos! Now, what you're seeing here are two photos captured years ago that are lovingly displayed in the home of our amazing, Rob!
Rob is 86 years old, was Senior Volunteer of the Year for Busselton in 2025 and has raised many thousands for Busselton Community Safe Space in the last 3 years which keeps us moving along and providing support for our community. He spent his earlier years raising and training working sheep dogs, animal lovers and helpers for elderly people. His dogs, Ruby and Rastus, love going 'to work' when they set up down at the foreshore and pose for photos with people in exchange for a donation, with treats and handshakes included, of course! What we do, could not be done without the incredible time and energy Rob puts in and we are eternally grateful to him; BCSS is purely community funded! If you see Rob at the foreshore, stop in and say thanks. He is such a giver and deserves to be acknowledged!
