🌟 Community Spotlight: LAMP Art Recovery Workshop 💚

We're proud to highlight the incredible work of LAMP and their Art Recovery Workshop as part of our latest Community Spotlight.

Recently, the Mind-Ed team met with LAMP to learn more about how creativity, connection and self-expression are supporting mental health recovery in our community. The spotlight feature will be shared in the local Augusta Margaret River Shire newspaper, helping raise awareness of the valuable support and opportunities available locally.

The Art Recovery Workshop provides a welcoming, wellbeing-focused space where participants can explore creativity, build confidence and connect with others. No art experience is required, just a willingness to show up and be part of a supportive community.

There are easier ways to spend a night than in a sleeping bag on a piece of cardboard.

But tonight, our CEO Jesse Malseed is swapping comfort for discomfort as part of the Vinnies CEO Sleepout.

Not because one night outside can replicate homelessness, it can't.

But because good leaders don't just talk about community challenges. They step towards them, use their voice, their influence, and their networks to help create change.

At Lamp, we see every day how quickly life can become difficult when people lose access to safe housing, connection, support, and a sense of belonging. We also see the incredible difference that community can make when people come together and decide that no one should have to face those challenges alone.

Jesse has always led with service at the centre. Tonight is another example of that commitment.

As he braves the cold tonight, we're making one final call to our community.

If you've been thinking about donating, now is the time.

Whether it's $5, $10, $20, or whatever feels manageable, every contribution helps provide practical support to people experiencing homelessness.

And if a donation isn't possible right now, sharing this post is another powerful way to help.

Drop a ❤️ in the comments if you're cheering him on tonight, and if you'd like to support his fundraising efforts, the donation link is below.

Big thanks to Baylife Cafe for generously sharing extra food with our pantry 💛

There’s plenty available, including some fresh items, and we’d love for it to go to people who can use it rather than go to waste. Pop by soon to grab what you need before it warms up… or before our wonderful local wildlife decides to throw themselves a buffet 🦜🐦🐀😄

Please share with anyone who might benefit!
