Treating the same patient for cellulitis again and again?

Recurrent cellulitis in a limb can be a sign of underlying lymphoedema, and each episode can cause further damage to the lymphatic system.

It is a cycle worth interrupting.

Lymphoedema assessment and management, including skin care, compression and the right support, can reduce recurrence and improve quality of life.

If your patient experiences repeated cellulitis, consider a referral to an ALA Accredited Lymphoedema Practitioner.

What questions remain unanswered? What areas need more attention? What would you like researchers to better understand?

Research advances when the community helps identify the questions that matter most.

As part of our Research + The Future week, we're inviting people with Lipedema, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and researchers to share ideas that could help shape future research priorities.

Your insights can help identify opportunities to improve diagnosis, treatment, quality of life, and long-term outcomes.

What do you do to look after youself and show yourself some "self compassion"?
A cup of coffee or tea?
Stop and smell the roses?
Listen to the birds?
Some deep breathing exercises?
Take the dog...or just yourself... for a walk?
Exercise? Yoga? Tai Chi?
Meditate?
Whatever it is, be kind to yourself and acknowledge that while lymphoedema is a tough road you are doing the best you can.

These are just some of the wonderful positive ideaas and support that come from being in a support group.

Join LAA to access this and more resources before the end of this financial year and take advantage of all there is to offer.
