Working out in the community doesnโ€™t mean working alone.

Whether youโ€™re at a school, a clientโ€™s home, or out in the community, the GRP team is still right there with you. A message away, a call away, always ready to problem solve together.

Thatโ€™s the kind of support that makes community based work feel less like going it alone, and more like taking the team with you.

This is what real support looks like at GRP ๐Ÿ’•

Want your toddler to talk more? Start doing less.

๐Ÿšซ Stop answering for them
๐Ÿšซ Stop asking rapid fire questions
๐Ÿšซ Stop correcting every mistake, model it back instead

Sometimes doing less is exactly what gets a toddler talking more.

Save this if you needed the reminder today ๐Ÿ‘‡

Full circle moment ๐Ÿ’™

She started with us as an allied health assistant while studying and now sheโ€™s back as a fully qualified speech pathologist!

Once you know a team this good, itโ€™s hard to imagine starting anywhere else.

This is what we mean when we talk about culture. Itโ€™s the reason people donโ€™t just join us, they come back to us.

Welcome back, we couldnโ€™t be more excited to have you back on the team!

โ€œWhat were you most worried about before starting your career as a Speech Pathologist?โ€

Itโ€™s a question every new graduate has asked themselves.

The good news? Youโ€™re not the only one.

At our GRP Open Night, youโ€™ll hear honest conversations from graduates like Emma, whoโ€™ll share what those first few months were really like, what surprised her, what challenged her and what helped her grow into a confident clinician.

No polished sales pitch.
No rehearsed answers.
Just genuine stories from people whoโ€™ve recently been in your shoes.

If youโ€™re a final year Speech Pathology student or a recent graduate, this is your opportunity to ask the questions youโ€™ve always wanted to ask.

A day in the life of a speech pathology student on placement๐Ÿ“š

From sitting in on real sessions to getting hands-on feedback from supervisors, placement is where all that theory finally starts to click. Itโ€™s a lot of learning, a fair bit of note-taking, and honestly, way more coffee than we expected going in.

Itโ€™s not always glamorous, but itโ€™s the kind of experience that shapes the clinician you become.

Community-based therapy means working through communication in the places it actually needs to show up. The supermarket, the school gate, the local cafรฉ, out on a walk. Itโ€™s the difference between practicing a skill and actually using it.

Real environments come with real distractions, real people, and real pressure. Which means the progress made there tends to stick, because it was never separate from real life to begin with.

Thatโ€™s the whole point of meeting people where they are, not just where itโ€™s convenient for us.

If you are a new grad and want to learn more about GRP and working in the community then head to the link in our bio and sign up for our Open Night.

Itโ€™s easy to talk about what we do in theory. Itโ€™s another thing entirely to see it in action. Watching someone find their voice, reconnect with the people around them, or reach a goal they werenโ€™t sure was possible.

One of our clients recently hit a goal and watching that moment happen is exactly why we do this work. Communication doesnโ€™t just change how someone talks. It changes what becomes possible for them.

We would love to hear from you a big win youโ€™ve had in your speech journey recently! Drop it below so we can celebrate you too!

โ€œWhy did you choose GRP?โ€

Itโ€™s one of the biggest questions every graduate asks themselves.

There are plenty of graduate programs out there, but what makes one feel like the right fit?

In this video, Phoebe shares why she chose to begin her Speech Pathology career at GRP.

At our GRP Open Night, Phoebe will be joining us live to share even more about her graduate journey. What she was looking for in an employer, what surprised her about her first year, and what itโ€™s really like to work at GRP.

These are the conversations we wish every graduate had the opportunity to hear before accepting their first role.

Speech is only part of what weโ€™re paying attention to ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป

During a session, weโ€™re also watching:
๐Ÿ‘€ Eye contact and joint attention
๐Ÿค How they take turns and interact socially
๐Ÿงธ How they play and problem solve
โœ‹ Gestures and body language alongside words

Speech pathology isnโ€™t just about how someone talks, itโ€™s about how they connect.

Save this if youโ€™ve ever wondered what weโ€™re actually looking for ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป
