Another total ankle replacement done. Managed to start closing the incision just after an hour, which is a testament to how the PSI guides have helped make the process much smoother.

Good range of motion at the end after trialling. There were some cysts in the medial malleolus that I curetted hence the prophylactic screw.

Great to have Laura and Verena our 2 travelling Fellows come along to my list all the way from Italy and Switzerland respectively. They had a 1 week whilrwind tour moving from Melbourne -Sydney- Brisbane experiencing various procedures/operations from multiple skilled surgeons throughout the East Coast

Subtalar fusion with pes planus deformity, corrected using an allograft bone block technique.

Daytona bone is utilized to maintain the height and correct the valgus alignment of the heel. A Central hole is drilled using the Burr and the patients on graft is placed within to turn the allograft into a combination with autograft.

Thanks Dror Maor for organising an amazing AOFAS conference and giving me the opportunity to talk on 1st MTPJ osteochondral lesions as well as the well received debate for total ankle replacements vs ankle arthrodesis. We had great speakers from all over the globe from Singapore, UK, South Africa and NZ, all gathering in the great host nation of Singapore for a jam packed 4 days. Already looking forward to the next conference.

Significant hallux valgus with lateral deviation of lesser toes and a stiff 2nd toe PIPJ with hammer toe deformity.

Will update in 3 months with new x-ray.

Got my filming hat on instead last week thanks to Device Technologies so we could film some surgical techniques for the LARS grafts usage in lateral and medial ligament augmentation.

Another total ankle replacement done! This was sitting in 16 degrees of varus, so on top of the replacement, added a mini open Brostrom repair of the lateral ligaments and a valgising calcaneal osteotomy at the end.
