Today we join many Australians in mourning the loss of AFL icon Neale Daniher.

Neale’s courage, resilience and determination throughout his 13-year battle with MND inspired countless people across the country and beyond. His advocacy brought hope, awareness and support to so many individuals and families impacted by Motor Neurone Disease.

At Uprise Support Services, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Neale’s family, friends, loved ones and everyone touched by his incredible journey. His legacy of strength, kindness and fighting spirit will never be forgotten.

💙 This morning, support worker and participant Mel headed to our beautiful local Rustic Bakehouse for their weekly coffee catch-up.

We absolutely love supporting local businesses in our community, especially when they get behind such meaningful causes. 💙

Today, Rustic Bakehouse are supporting Do It For Dolly by donating 100% of funds from their blue donuts directly to the foundation — what an incredible and thoughtful thing to do. 🍩💙

At Uprise Support Services, the message behind Do It For Dolly sits very close to our hearts. The Dolly’s Dream Foundation was created in memory of Dolly Everett to help raise awareness around bullying, mental health, and the importance of kindness and connection.

As support workers, we see every day how important compassion, inclusion, and safe support networks are for people of all ages. We believe no one should ever feel alone, unheard, or unsupported.

Today we spread kindness, support one another, and continue important conversations around mental health and bullying awareness. 💙

💚 Uprise Support Services is Walking for Autism!

This May, our team at Uprise Support Services is taking part in Walk for Autism, committing to 7,000 steps every day to raise awareness and funds for Autistic Australians and their families.

At Uprise, supporting people with disability isn’t just our job — it’s our passion. Many of the incredible participants we support are autistic, and we see every day how important understanding, inclusion, and the right supports are.

🚶‍♀️ Our team will be walking throughout May to help make a difference.

Some participants leave a mark on your heart — and S is definitely one of them 💛

S continues to show incredible courage by giving new things a go, even when they feel unfamiliar or challenging. Growth isn’t always easy, but he faces it with quiet determination and strength.

What makes S so special isn’t just his willingness to build his independence — it’s the way he shows up every single shift with a genuine smile on his face. No matter what the day brings, he carries a positive attitude that brightens the room.

He sticks to his goals. He keeps trying. He doesn’t give up.
