We are deeply honoured to be managing the 2026 Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (NATSIAA) next Friday, 7 August, on the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory lawns.

This is the first time we are managing this prestigious event, which celebrates the strength, diversity and innovation of contemporary Indigenous art across Australia.

The program will feature an incredible lineup of First Nations performers, including headline act Drifting Clouds. Award winners will be announced on the night, and the NATSIAA exhibition will be open to explore.

Our team is busy prepping for Tennis NT's National Indigenous Tennis Carnival, which is taking place here in Darwin from the 5th - 7th August.

NITC is more than tennis. It brings Indigenous kids from every state and territory together through sport, culture, health workshops and storytelling.

One highlight from this year's program is a bushtucker workshop with chef Zach Green, exploring native ingredients like green ants, saltbush and Kakadu plum. It will be a fun, hands-on way for young mob to connect with native foods, Country, and seasonal eating.

We caught Zach cooking live in the city a couple of weeks ago, a little preview of what attendees can expect. Afterwards, we headed to Aboriginal Bush Traders to check out the shop.

Congratulations to the Thailand Grand Festival by NT Thai Association on their 10th successful event, which took place over the weekend here in Darwin.

We've now worked with the Thailand Grand Festival twice on their Strategic Plan, most recently teaming up with Mayvin Global on the 25-27 plan, helping them map out clear strategies for year-on-year growth and new opportunities to increase engagement and revenue. We can't wait to see what the next decade holds for the festival!

For the 2024 Prevocational Medical Education Forum, we worked with the Darwin Convention Centre to put sustainability into practice.

Name tags were environmentally friendly, bottle caps became art supplies, and a custom app replaced the printed program entirely.

Maya Woods is joining the Agentur team this month through the Northern Territory Government's NXT Gen ARTS program, a placement designed to open doors for early career creatives across the Territory.

Maya brings a natural warmth and professionalism shaped by years of customer-facing roles across Darwin, from reception and retail to managing a bar serving 200+ patrons a night. She knows how to read a room, stay calm under pressure, and make people feel genuinely welcome - all qualities that translate beautifully into the world of live events.

Through her placement with Agentur, Maya will be mentored by our Managing Director Britta Decker and gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of event production, from project planning and budget management to on-the-ground delivery of culturally significant events.

We are proud to be Maya's first step into the creative industries and look forward to supporting her growth, both within Agentur and wherever her career takes her next.
