Myotherapy is derived from the Greek root "myo" meaning muscle. It is a form of manual medicine focusing on the diagnosis, treatment and management of musculoskeletal pain & dysfunction. Soft tissues, joints & ligaments can be damaged or irritated in accidents, sporting activities, by using incorrect posture, from over-use (repetitive activities) or under

-use, disease, or by physical and emotional stress. Myotherapy aims to restore maximum mobility to these areas by correcting and rehabilitating the injury and preventing re-occurrence. Diagnosis is achieved through assessment of active & passive movements, neurological examination and orthopedic tests. Myotherapy offers a holistic approach is taken to patient care, not only treating the symptoms, but also the underlying cause of pain and dysfunction in the musculoskeletal system. The treatment can be preventative, corrective or rehabilitative. Clinical Myotherapy offers an individualized, personal session which aims at treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal irregularities. The treatment will provide specialist muscle therapy in order to relieve pain, improve mobility and restore muscle function.
