🌟 Role Model of the Month – August 2026 🌟

This month, we’re recognising Tamara for the way she consistently shows up for the people around her.

Tamara has a busy role of her own, managing her participants and supporting her team through some complex situations. But what stands out is that she still makes time for others.

She’s someone people can go to when they need help, a second opinion, or just someone to talk things through with. She checks in on people, supports other Team Leaders, helps across programs and makes an effort to welcome new team members and help them feel comfortable.

A lot of what Tamara does happens quietly, and because she is based in another office, it may not always be seen by everyone. But her contribution is felt by the people she works with.

She genuinely cares about the people around her, and that comes through in the way she leads and supports others.

Congratulations, Tamara, on being our August Role Model of the Month. 💛

The two current housemates are women under 30 who are looking to welcome another female participant into their home. We’re focused on finding the right match — someone who would enjoy sharing a comfortable home while building independence, friendships and community connections.

The old Banksia facility could provide a much-needed drug and alcohol detoxification service for Tamworth and the wider New England Northwest.

At the moment, people often have to travel long distances away from family and local support to access treatment.

This petition is calling for the former Banksia facility to stay in public hands and be repurposed as a modern detoxification unit.

🌱 We’re Hiring – Support Workers | Holistic Recovery

At Holistic Recovery, we’re not simply looking for someone to fill a shift. We’re looking for the right people to join our team.

We’re seeking Support Workers who genuinely believe in person-centred support and understand that every person has their own story, strengths, goals and choices.

You might be the right fit for our team if you:

* Believe in supporting people with dignity, choice and respect
* Have an understanding of mental health, psychosocial disability and/or youth support
* Can work in a trauma-informed and person-centred way
* Understand that good support is about building capacity and independence, not doing everything for someone
* Are reliable, compassionate and comfortable working as part of a team
* Can build genuine professional relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries
* Are willing to learn and grow

We are currently recruiting Support Workers for our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Youth Support services, including day and night shifts.

💰 Pay starts from $45.28/hr + Super

Experience is valued, but attitude, values and the way you support people matter just as much to us.
