Not sure what actually happens when you contact headspace?

That’s okay — lots of people feel nervous the first time.

At headspace Echuca, young people can reach out for support with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs, work and study, and general wellbeing.

You don’t need to have the “right” words. You can start with:
“I’m not really sure what I need, but I think I need support.”

Study stress can sneak up fast.

A reminder for students: your worth is not your ATAR, your grade, your assignment, your apprenticeship progress, or how productive you were today.

Try this today:
Take one proper break.
Drink some water.
Message someone back.
Do one small task instead of trying to do everything.
Go to bed a little earlier if you can.

You are allowed to need support while you work things out.

For support, contact headspace Echuca on 03 5485 5048.

National Reconciliation Week runs from 27 May to 3 June.

The 2026 theme is All In — a reminder that reconciliation is something we all have a role in, every day.

A few ways to be “all in”:
Listen to First Nations voices.
Learn local history.
Challenge racism when it is safe to do so.
Support Aboriginal-led organisations, artists and businesses.
Keep learning beyond one week.

Reconciliation is not a one-off post. It is ongoing action.

Today is National Sorry Day.

It is a time to remember and acknowledge the Stolen Generations, and the ongoing impacts of past government policies on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families and communities.

For non-Indigenous people, today is a reminder to listen, learn and reflect — not just today, but every day.

headspace Echuca acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia, and recognises their strength, culture, connection to Country and community.

Checking in with a mate doesn’t have to be awkward.

You don’t need perfect words. You just need to be kind, calm and willing to listen.

Try this:
“Hey, I’ve noticed you’ve seemed a bit off lately. How are you really going?”

Then give them space to answer.

If they need extra support, encourage them to speak to a trusted adult, GP, school wellbeing staff, or headspace Echuca.

You don’t have to fix everything. Being there matters.

💚 We’re taking on the Push-Up Challenge 💪

This June, the team at headspace Echuca is getting involved in the The Push-Up Challenge — and we want YOU with us.

Why?
Because every push-up represents something bigger.
We’re raising awareness and funds for youth mental health, right here in our community.

You don’t need to be super fit.
You don’t need to do full push-ups.
You just need to be willing to give it a go.

👉 Join our team
👉 Challenge yourself
👉 Support young people doing it tough

Meet Allie – Holistic well being therapist 💚🎨🖌️

Allie has been part of the headspace team for around a year, bringing creativity and calm to the space through her work as a Creative Arts Therapist.

She keeps a healthy headspace by hanging out in nature, taking “no-effort” rides on her e-bike, SUP boarding, and spending time with friends.

When she’s not snacking or walking her dog, you’ll find her sipping a latte and soaking up the sunshine.
