U-choose is a registered NDIS provider that focuses on you, the participant, by offering choice in all aspects of your personally designed support care.

U-choose Independent Support Services empowers you the participant, to be actively involved in the selection of your own personalised staff, your specific days and hours. This personalised hands on approach provides flexible and tailored supports to suit your own unique circumstances and lifestyle. Services U-choose provides:

• Individualised supports matched to client’s choice
• STA (short term accommodation)
• Personal care
• Independent travel and transport
• Daily Living skills
• Participation within the community and recreational activities.
• Mental health self-care and self-management
• Social and relationship skills
• Support services for NDIS participants that are Plan or Self-
managed.
• Home and yard maintenance – Small repairs, gardening.

Please note our adjusted office hours and program schedule for the Melbourne Cup public holiday.

Monday, 2 November

- Office open as usual: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
- U-Fit Program running as normal

Tuesday, 3 November - Melbourne Cup Day

- Office closed
- U-Cook Programs are paused
- Our on-call phone will continue to be monitored.

Our regular office hours and programs will resume on Wednesday, 4 November.

💙 National Carers Week | 11–17 October 2026 💙

This National Carers Week, we take a moment to recognise and celebrate the incredible people who dedicate their time, energy and compassion to caring for and supporting others.

Whether you're a parent, partner, family member, friend or professional support worker, the care, patience and commitment you bring to someone's life can make a meaningful difference every single day.

At U-Choose, we see firsthand the dedication of those who support people living with disability and the important role they play in creating opportunities, encouraging independence and supporting wellbeing.

We also recognise that caring for others can come with challenges and responsibilities that often go unseen. It's important to remember that carers deserve care, understanding and support too.

💙 To all the carers in our community, thank you for your compassion, dedication and everything you do.

We're Hiring - Administration Support Officer

Are you organised, friendly and enjoy working in a busy, people-focused environment?

U-Choose Independent Support Services is looking for a motivated and professional Administration Support Officer to join our growing team in Echuca!

As the first point of contact for participants, visitors and staff, you'll play an important role in keeping our daily office operations running smoothly.

The role includes reception duties, scheduling, paperwork and general administration, so we're looking for someone with great communication skills, attention to detail and a positive attitude.

It’s Cuppa Time – and our community is coming together for a wonderful cause! 💜

We’re excited to invite everyone to our Cuppa for Dementia fundraiser on Wednesday, 14 October, from 10am at the U-Choose Program Centre, 19 Darling Street, Echuca!

We’re incredibly grateful for the amazing support we've received from our local community, with so many businesses getting involved to help raise funds for Dementia Australia.

☕ Peggy’s Coffee Van, right next door, will be making delicious coffees on the day, with every dollar from coffee sales going towards Dementia Australia!

☕ BYL is also joining the cause, donating $1 from every coffee sold on the day!

🧁 151 Bakehouse Echuca is creating special cupcakes for the occasion, with all proceeds from cupcakes sold on 14 October donated to Dementia Australia!

🍰 We'll also have homemade slices and little treats available at our U-Choose Program Centre for a gold coin donation.

And there's more! Thanks to the generosity of numerous local businesses, we'll have some fantastic prizes to raffle on the day. We'll be giving these wonderful supporters a well-deserved shout-out very soon!

It really is something special to see so many local businesses and community members come together to support such an important cause.

U-DEFEND – Expressions of Interest

We’re looking for expressions of interest for our U-Defend Self Defence Program with Matthew Wickham at Wickham’s Martial Arts Centre!

This all-abilities program is a great opportunity to build confidence, learn practical self-defence skills, improve fitness and have a go at martial arts in a supportive environment.

📅 Every Wednesday (Start date is to be confirmed)
🥋 45-minute martial arts session from 10:30am
💲 $10 per participant
📍 Wickham’s Martial Arts Centre

The program will include:
• Beginner fundamentals
• Self-defence basics
• Fitness training
• All-abilities martial arts

We’re currently gathering expressions of interest and will confirm a start date once we have enough participants to get the program underway.
