Join us at Carisbrooke parkrun on Saturday 20 June as we mark United Nations World Refugee Day and celebrate the diversity of our community.
parkrun is a place where everyone is welcome. Whether you've been part of the community for years, recently moved to the area, or arrived in Australia from another part of the world, parkrun offers an opportunity to connect, be active, and feel part of something bigger.
This special event is being supported by local community organisations including the City of Salisbury, Justice for Refugees SA, Circle of Friends Australia (COFA), and Welcoming Australia. Representatives from these organisations will be joining us on the day.
The event is also inspired by Sanctuary Runners, an international movement that uses running and walking to bring together people seeking asylum, refugees, migrants and local community members through friendship and shared participation.
Everyone is welcome to take part. You can run, jog, walk, volunteer or simply come along and enjoy the community atmosphere.
