When we talk about managing pain, it’s not always just about what happens on the treatment table. The little things you do regularly can support your body too.
Green tea and matcha are naturally rich in plant compounds called polyphenols, including EGCG, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Matcha is essentially green tea turned up a notch — because you’re consuming the whole tea leaf rather than just steeping it in water, you get a more concentrated source of those naturally occurring compounds (and usually more caffeine too!).
While they’re certainly not going to magically fix a sore back or tight shoulders, regularly including anti-inflammatory foods and drinks can be one small part of supporting your body when dealing with ongoing aches, inflammation and recovery.
Massage, movement, sleep, hydration, good nutrition… it all adds up. 🌿
And a cup of green tea is a pretty easy place to start. 🍵
