Last Week, Ecolab worked directly with our teams on site, using BlueMirror AI technology to demonstrate correct hand hygiene techniques and provide real‑time, practical feedback in a clinical setting.

This hands‑on approach reinforces the importance of best‑practice hand hygiene and supports our staff to translate guidelines into everyday practice.

It’s World Glaucoma Week, and we’re helping raise awareness of one of Australia’s leading causes of irreversible blindness. Glaucoma affects over 300,000 Australians, and around 50% don’t know they have it, because it often develops without symptoms.

How to Reduce the Risk of Blood Clots After Surgery

Your health and safety matter. Here are some important steps to help prevent blood clots during your recovery:
🔹 Complete your health history before admission – This helps us identify any previous clots or risk factors early.
🔹 Follow your prevention plan – You may be prescribed compression devices or medication based on your individual needs.
🔹 Move early and often – Gentle movement and leg exercises while sitting or lying down are essential.
🔹 Know the warning signs – Pain, tenderness, or swelling in your legs, shortness of breath, or chest pain should never be ignored. Report these symptoms immediately to your nurse or doctor.

Your discharge paperwork will include any at-home requirements for you and your GP.
