📢 NDIS UPDATE – SUPPORT COORDINATION

There have been some important developments regarding the future of NDIS Support Coordination.

The Australian Government has commenced consultation on a proposed new Support Coordination and Connection model, with a commissioned service proposed to commence from 1 July 2028.

At this stage, the model is still being developed and there is an opportunity for the sector and community to have their say.

👉 Support Coordination is NOT being removed.

The proposed changes are about how Support Coordination and Connection services may be commissioned and delivered in the future.

For AccessPlus Solutions, we will continue to stay informed, advocate for our participants and keep our team up to date as more information becomes available.

We are also preparing for our upcoming audit, which is just around the corner, and are excited to be progressing towards becoming an NDIS Registered business. This is an important step in our ongoing commitment to quality, compliance and delivering safe, reliable support to our participants.

🌭💙 ACCESSPLUS COMMUNITY BBQ — YOU’RE INVITED! 💙🌭

We’ve been having a little think at AccessPlus Solutions… and we would LOVE to bring our participants, families, carers and providers together for a relaxed community BBQ! 🥰

With October / November being important time for AccessPlus, we are hoping to become a registered provider, we thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to get together, enjoy a sausage sizzle and celebrate the amazing people we have the privilege of working alongside.

Nothing formal -just good food, good company and good conversations. ❤️

It will be a chance to:

🤝 Meet and connect with providers we work alongside

🏡 A LITTLE HELP NEEDED FOR A SPECIAL MOVE 💙

One of our lovely participants is moving into their new home on 21 September, and we’re hoping to find someone kind and generous who may be able to help transport their belongings. 📦🏠

Their current provider has advised that the move would require approximately the capacity of a 3-tonne truck or moving van.

If you’re able to help, or if you know someone who might be able to lend a hand, we would be incredibly grateful. 🙏

Seeking a Local Elder – Cultural Smoking Ceremony 🌿

We are supporting one of our participants who is preparing to move into their new home, and we would like to organise a Cultural Smoking Ceremony to honour their cultural connection to the land and welcome them into their new home.

We are hoping to connect with a local Elder who is able to conduct a Smoking Ceremony and would be grateful for any recommendations or contacts within the local community.

💙 Taking One Day at a Time 💙

There is no doubt there are a lot of changes happening within the NDIS right now, and we understand that this can feel overwhelming and uncertain for participants and families.

Our message is simple: take one day at a time. Try not to let the changes negatively affect you. We may not always have all the answers straight away, but we will work through this together.

As we understand the changes and have reliable information about what they mean for you, we will keep you informed. We will continue to do our very best to support you through this transition. 💙

We also want to say a huge THANK YOU to all our participants who have chosen to opt in and support AccessPlus Solutions through our NDIS registration process.

Our audit is taking place in October 2026, as we take the necessary steps towards becoming an NDIS Registered Provider.

From our beginnings in Geraldton, AccessPlus has grown to support participants as far north as Exmouth, down the coast to the southern suburbs of Perth, and as far east as Victoria.

We are incredibly proud of how far we have come — and we couldn’t do it without the trust and support of our participants and families. 💙

Whatever changes come our way, we will continue to stand beside you and do our very best to help you navigate them.
