Health experts are saying more patients turn to 'softer medicines' such as Reiki, Aromatherapy and Acupuncture for example to take some of the sting out of the gruelling chemo n radiotherapy.
I found this newspaper cutting from 25 years ago when they started the Solatis Center at Sir Charles Gardener Hospital in Subiaco, I was recovering from breast Cancer at the time.

The Reiki Association WA (RAWA) was formed by Keitha Bradley, Shirley Jukic, Roger Weston (pictured), and Deon Way, out of a desire to create an association which could support practitioners in their personal and public practice, and promote a credible and respectable organisation to the healthcare industry and general public.

RAWA was formally incorporated in mid-2005 as a not-for-profit incorporated association, operated by its members for the benefit of the community. The association is managed entirely by volunteers, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment among those involved. RAWA aims to connect individuals who share a commitment to Reiki practice and holistic living, welcoming a diverse community of Reiki practitioners and teachers. Our partnerships with mainstream health care providers aim to make Reiki treatments accessible to clients and their families.
