✨ Something is changing at Danae.

Over the years, I’ve worn many hats — yoga teacher, beauty therapist, massage therapist, energy healer, and skincare creator.

I’ve spent a long time trying to keep these offerings separate, but the truth is they’ve always naturally woven together.

The way I work has evolved.

My treatments have evolved.

And I have evolved too.

What began as individual services has gradually become something more holistic - a unique blend of touch, bodywork, presence, intuition, skincare, nervous system support, healing and deep rest.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing a simplified menu and a clearer expression of what Danae has become: a space for ritual, nourishment, healing, and reconnection.

If you’ve experienced a treatment with me before, you’ll know it’s never just one thing.

Each session unfolds differently, guided by what you need in that moment.

And I wouldn’t want it any other way.

This weekend’s Yin + Skin event feels like the perfect bridge between where I’ve been and where I’m heading.

What we practiced in class today!! Binds!
Binds in yoga aren’t just about mobility they create containment, stability and deeper awareness in a pose.

In poses like Marichyasana, the bind can:

✨ Deepen the twist
✨ Open the shoulders and chest
✨ Massage and stimulate the digestive organs
✨ Build focus and body awareness
✨ Contain and direct prana (life force energy)

The bind isn’t about forcing your hands to meet it’s about wrapping the body with awareness and support from your centre.

Why meditation feels so important right now…

Meditation brings us back to our centre.
Back to what we can actually control: our breath, our energy, our presence.

When we take time to pause and drop inward, we nourish our own energy. And when our inner state feels steadier, that naturally ripples out into the people and spaces around us.

It’s not about ignoring what’s happening in the world. Stay aware, stay informed but also take care of your inner world, especially when it feels all too much.

Meditation is one small but powerful way to do that.

Next term I’m thinking of starting meditation classes in person and online (with recordings if you can’t join live).

I’ve been quiet stepping into 2026- intentionally conserving energy, clearing what feels unnecessary and choosing a slower, steadier rhythm.
With the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse, I feel that gentle but powerful momentum building. Not a sprint. A conscious trot forward. 🐎🔥

In yoga, this energy reminds me of Tapas- the inner fire described in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. It’s disciplined, intentional heat. The kind that transforms without burning out. The kind that builds strength steadily. From that space, I’m so excited to share something special…

These little hands are one of the big reasons I’m mindful about what I put on my face and body, choosing gentle, natural care, free from harsh chemicals and artificial fragrances.

It mattered when she was a baby, squishing her little face into mine and it matters just as much as she grows.

I don’t have a perfect balance. Our lives aren’t squeaky clean or low-tox all the time, sometimes we’re just doing our best. This is one small thing I can control for myself and for her. And it’s something many people don’t realise can make a real difference: the ingredients in our skincare and fragrances.

Today I reallllly didn’t want to move my body.
And honestly… I didn’t yesterday either.

But I noticed it.
How not moving slowly creeps into my mood, my energy, my body.

I always tell my clients the hardest part isn’t the practice it’s just getting on the mat. And every time I listen to my own advice, it proves true. Once I’m there, what I thought I couldn’t do… I find I can. (I certainly did not think I’d end playing around with shoulder stands today) but the body starts to move in the way it needs once we are there.

It doesn’t mean I go hard every day. Some days it’s soft, slow, upside down for a moment, or just a few breaths. I just show up and see where it leads me.

And this matters for my skin too.
Glowing skin isn’t just from skincare it’s circulation, lymph flow, nervous system regulation, breath and movement. Skincare supports, but the body does the real work.

I wonder were showing up will lead me in my next practice ✨
