On Saturday we all gathered for my mums birthday.
We had a great time with the family, but she complained of a sore earlobe. The back of her earring had become stuck behind her ear, and the skin had somehow started to grow over the sides of it. It was swollen and inflamed.
I jumped up and looked through their remedy kit, then prescribed Silica 200C, twice daily (morning and evening). Silica is an excellent remedy for helping the body push out foreign objects.
Forty-eight hours later, I texted my mum:
Me: Hi Mum, how are you? How is your ear?
Mum: Hi Jessie, my earring is still stuck. I’m still taking Silica twice daily.
Me: Is it feeling better, or exactly the same?
Mum: Jess, it’s still feeling the same, but there’s no inflammation.
Me: Is the inflammation better?
Mum: Yes.
Me: OK, keep taking the remedy — this is a good sign.
I shared this story with the ladies yesterday on the First Aid coaching call.
Sometimes the person you are treating or your client will say everything is the same, but you need to dig a little deeper and not always take their first answer at face value.
In this case, the reduction in inflammation is a clear sign that the body is healing in the right direction and that the remedy is working.
Keep going with the remedy for another couple of days and then reassess.
Part 2 coming up. 😊 So make sure you hit follow!
