✨ Important Patient Information ✨
Before you book your next cosmetic procedure appointment (think wrinkle relaxers and volume replacement/enhancement), here’s a gentle reminder about the importance of timing with vaccinations!
Wait Before You Inject!
We recommend waiting at least 14 days before and after receiving any type of vaccine. Why? Here’s what you need to know:
• Immune Over-activation: Vaccines stimulate your immune system, which can sometimes lead to temporary inflammation, swelling, or tenderness at the injection site of your filler.
• Symptom Confusion: If you experience mild side effects from the vaccine (like fatigue or muscle aches) soon after your cosmetic treatment, it can be tough to tell where those symptoms are coming from.
General Guidelines:
While it’s crucial to follow your injector’s advice, here are some industry practices to consider:
• The 2-Week Buffer: A conservative 14-day window is commonly recommended around your vaccination date.
• Volume enhancement vs. Wrinkle relaxers: Volume replacement/enhancement treatments are more prone to inflammatory reactions, so many experts suggest a 2-week buffer before and after this treatments. For anti-wrinkle injections, a gap 2 weeks is advised to minimize confusion.
Keep Your Injector Informed!
Always let us know if you’re planning to get vaccinated or have received one in the last two weeks. If you’re feeling unwell after a recent vaccine or illness, we strongly recommend rescheduling your appointment.
Please note, to avoid losing your booking deposit please take note of the compulsory question regarding vaccines on our booking form which explains not to go ahead with a booking if you plan to have any vaccines booked in the 2 weeks leading up or 2 weeks preceding any injectable appointment.
Your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities!
