R U OK Day 💛

Talking about how we feel is an important part of looking after our mental health and wellbeing. Having a yarn with someone you trust can help you feel supported, understood and less alone.

Sometimes life can feel hard, and that’s OK. Never feel shame about telling someone how you’re feeling. Speaking up is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Today, take a moment to check in with someone you care about—and remember to check in with yourself too.

Your feelings matter, and you don’t have to face things alone.

Training is coming to Country!

We’re proud to announce an exciting new chapter for Dijan Training and the Big Rivers region.

Through a $2.28 million investment from the Australian Government, Dijan Training, in partnership with Sunrise Health Service Aboriginal Corporation, will establish a Mobile Health Training Facility bringing nationally accredited training directly to communities across the Big Rivers region.

The project will provide Aboriginal Health Worker and Aboriginal Health Practitioner training to many community-based learners every year—creating more opportunities for people to train closer to home, build skills and develop meaningful careers in health.

This investment is part of the Australian Government's $6.9 million Mobile TAFE initiative, designed to bring training to regional and remote communities across the Northern Territory.

For Dijan Training, this is more than a new training facility. It's about building a strong local workforce, creating pathways for Aboriginal people and strengthening health services for our communities.

❤️🖤💛 Train on Country. Build your career. Strengthen community.

🌺 International Indigenous Women’s Day

Today we celebrate the strength, wisdom, culture and leadership of Indigenous women and the important role they play in our communities.

Indigenous women are carers, leaders, mothers, aunties, grandmothers, daughters, health workers, teachers and role models. They carry culture, pass knowledge from one generation to the next, and play a vital role in the health, wellbeing and strength of families and communities.

At Sunrise Health Service, we are proud to support and celebrate women who make a difference every day.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Ronnie Ogilvie and Antonella Martin, who recently graduated with their Training and Assessment qualifications. 🌟

Their achievement is a fantastic reflection of the commitment to building skills, creating opportunities and growing a strong local workforce across the Big Rivers region.

August was a big month for the Dijan team, with three weeks of classroom training, attendance at the NACCHO Summit in Brisbane, and presenting our collaborative training model at the Rural and Remote Health Care Conference in Sydney.

A huge congratulations to Ronnie and Antonella on this well-deserved achievement! 👏🏾🎓

We’re proud to see our people developing their skills and helping shape the future of training and health care in our communities.

Congratulations Ronnie and Antonella — your hard work is something to celebrate!

🌸 Women’s Health Week

This Women’s Health Week, we’re reminding all women in our communities to make time for your health.

❤️ Make time for yourself.
💬 Have a yarn with someone you trust.
🩺 Book a health check when you need one.
