Happy birthday to Jesse, AKA Dr J! 🎉

Today we are celebrating not only Jesse’s birthday, but also his recent completion of Transition to Practice, officially stepping into his role as a paramedic with Medical Edge Australia.

This is a huge milestone and a reflection of Jesse’s hard work, commitment, and passion for patient care. We’re proud to have him as part of the MEA team and excited to see him continue to grow in his paramedic career.

Congratulations, Jesse, and happy birthday from all of us at Medical Edge Australia! 🚑

This week we had the privilege of recognising the extraordinary service, commitment and resilience of our Medical Edge Australia team who supported communities and emergency services during the 2019-2020 Victorian fire season.

The presentation of the National Emergency Medal was a meaningful opportunity to honour not only the work done on the front line, but also the professionalism, compassion and dedication shown behind every deployment.

We are incredibly proud of those recognised, and grateful for the lasting impact they have made on colleagues, responders and communities across the state.

Thank you for your service. 💙

The scale of Victoria’s January 2026 bushfires is hard to put into words. These two videos were captured by our deployed medical crews roughly 12 months apart, showing the same landscape before and after.

Medical Edge Australia extends our sincere thanks to the firefighters, incident control teams, and our crews on the ground, all working together as a unified response.

Please stay informed and follow official warnings through the VicEmergency app.

If you have been affected by the 2026 bushfires, support is available, check VicEmergency for current information and recovery services in your area.

We're usually caring for people, but a lot of our team are animal-lovers too, from dogs to baby magpies to dingoes and everything in between.

🔥 With the heatwave on the way: keep animals in shade or inside, always have fresh water, and never leave them in cars. Avoid walking dogs in hot periods (go early or late) and check the ground first with the back of your hand, if it's too hot for you, it's too hot for paws. 🐾

For native wildlife, put out a shallow dish of water (and/or a bird bath) in the shade for birds and other visitors.

If an animal is panting hard, drooling, vomiting, weak or collapsing, cool them with cool water (not ice) and get to a vet ASAP.
