Before there were apps, algorithms and daily horoscopes… people looked to their teacups. ☕️

Tea leaf reading has a long history of using shapes and symbols left behind in the cup to tell a story.

Sometimes the smallest little shape can be the most interesting part of a reading 🍃

🍃 Every Cup Tells a Different Story 🍃

One of the things I love most about tea leaf reading is that every cup tells its own unique story.

Two people can drink the very same tea from the same teapot, yet the leaves will settle into completely different pattern, leaving behind symbols and messages that are unique to each individual.
For me, that's part of the magic.
It reminds us that no two journeys are ever the same. We all have our own experiences, choices and paths.
Each cup reflects that in its own beautiful way.

It's one of the many reasons I fell in love with this centuries-old tradition, and I still find it just as fascinating every time I read a cup.

Have you ever wondered what your tea leaves might reveal? ☕

A little peek at my own front door 🚪

Over the years people have asked which crystal I keep by my entrance, and my answer is always Mookaite Jasper

🇦🇺 Mookaite is a beautiful Australian gemstone found near Mooka Creek in the Kennedy Ranges of Western Australia.
I love that it's uniquely Australian, and for me it represents staying grounded, embracing change with confidence, and welcoming new opportunities.

In feng shui, the front door is often referred to as the “Mouth of Chi" the place where fresh energy enters your home. That's why many people choose to keep meaningful objects near their entrance to reflect the energy they'd like to invite into their space.

Alongside my Mookaite, you'll also find elephants.
In feng shui, elephants are traditional symbols of wisdom, strength, protection and good fortune. Placing them near the entrance is a beautiful way to represent protection for the home and blessings for those who enter.

For me, these aren't just decorations—they're daily reminders of the intentions I want to carry with me each time I leave home and every time I return.

Do you have anything special near your front door? A crystal, plant, ornament or meaningful keepsake? I'd love to hear what welcomes you home. 💛

Yesterday I started cleaning up around my front door, and it made me realise how much I've been craving a little reset. 🌿

Sometimes it's not about making huge changes, it's simply about clearing away the clutter, giving things a good clean, and creating a space that feels calm and welcoming.

While I was tidying, I thought it would be fun to share a few Feng Shui-inspired plants that are traditionally believed to invite positive energy, abundance, peace, and protection into your home.

I hope it inspires you to give your own entrance a little refresh. 🌱

Tea Folklore of the Day

Have you ever heard the old belief about stirring your tea?

Some folklore says that stirring your tea clockwise invites positive energy, while stirring anti-clockwise is thought to help release what no longer serves you.

Whether you believe in it or simply enjoy the symbolism, it's a beautiful reminder that even the smallest rituals can encourage a moment of intention.

Which way do you stir your tea? 🍃

Earlier today I noticed something that made me smile... my page had 555 followers ✨

Whether you believe in angel numbers or simply enjoy finding meaning in life's little synchronicities, seeing 555 is often associated with change, transformation, and new opportunities.

It's a gentle reminder that life is always moving, even when it feels like nothing is happening. Sometimes the biggest shifts begin quietly, opening doors we never expected and encouraging us to let go of what no longer serves us.

For me, it felt like a beautiful little nudge from the universe as I continue growing The Crystal Teacup, starting a new chapter this week with my new job and following my passion for crystals and tea leaf readings.

So I thought I'd share the meaning behind 555 in case someone else needed to see it tonight.

✨ Have you been noticing repeating numbers lately? I'd love to know which ones keep showing up for you!

Happy Sunday!
Sundays always feel like a chance to slow down, reset, and prepare for a new week.

If you could choose one crystal to guide you through this week, what would it be?
Mine would be Smoky Quartz to stay grounded while I start my new job this week.

What's yours? 🤎

Happy Friday!

Another week has come to an end, and I hope you're able to take a moment this weekend to slow down and recharge.

For me, this weekend will be a mix of preparing to start my new job on Monday (I'm feeling excited and a little nervous!), spending time with my family, celebrating my son’s birthday and working on my little business whenever I can.

Life has a funny way of leading us in new directions, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this next chapter takes me.

Whatever your weekend looks like, I hope it brings you a little peace, plenty of smiles, and a chance to do something that fills your cup. 💜

I'd love to hear—what are you looking forward to most this weekend?
