Nothing makes us happier than hearing that felt like a home away from home. 💙

From moving comfortably around the house in a powered wheelchair to enjoying a swim with the help of our electric pool hoist, it’s moments like these that remind us why accessibility matters so much.

We believe everyone deserves to enjoy a beautiful coastal getaway without having to compromise on comfort or accessibility.

World Cerebral Palsy Day is a little personal for us at TomCare. 💚

Tom has cerebral palsy, but that’s only one part of who he is. It doesn’t tell you what makes him laugh, what he loves doing, who he enjoys spending time with or what makes a good life for him.

And Tom’s life and experiences have helped shape so much of what we believe good support should look like.

Because we don’t start with a diagnosis. We start with the person. 

Today, we’re celebrating Tom and the millions of people around the world living their own unique lives with cerebral palsy.

Unique AND united.

This is what inclusion looks like in action. 💙

Accessible beach matting is back at North Bondi, helping remove one of the barriers that can prevent wheelchair and mobility aid users from accessing the sand.

And for Matt, it meant accessing North Bondi Beach for the first time in years.

His words say it best: “The opportunities this creates is massive.”

Because accessibility isn’t simply about saying everyone is welcome. It’s about looking at the barriers that prevent people from participating and doing something about them.

A great example of community voices and lived experience helping create meaningful change.

The matting is currently planned to be available on selected days, subject to surf and weather conditions. Check Waverley Council for the latest accessibility information before visiting. 💙

Sometimes inclusion means finding another way. 💙

When Jai Arrow was diagnosed with MND, so much about his life changed, including an NRL career that ended far sooner than he ever expected.

But sitting just two games shy of 100 appearances for South Sydney, the people around him asked an important question: how can we still make this moment possible?

And they found a way.

It’s a reminder that when circumstances change, the things that matter to a person don’t suddenly stop mattering.

Connection. Purpose. Belonging. Experiences. Milestones. Joy.
