Rabbit is one of the most underrated proteins you can feed your dog 🐰

It’s naturally lean, high in protein and a great way to add more variety to the bowl, especially for dogs with food sensitivities or those needing more dietary diversity.

For those following a TCM approach to feeding, rabbit is also considered a cooling protein 🥶

The key is sourcing.

In Australia, wild rabbits are often controlled using 1080 bait, so I’d only feed rabbit from a reputable pet food supplier or butcher.

Rabbit isn’t a magic ingredient, but it’s definitely one I think more dog owners should consider.
