Your Midday Mindfulness

• Unclench your jaw.
• Drop your shoulders.
• Take a slow breath in.
• And an even slower breath out.

You don’t need an hour-long routine to give your mind a moment of calm.

Sometimes, 60 seconds is a good place to start. 💚

Save this one for the next busy day.

ONE FOOT FORWARD 👟💚

Another week of our October Step Challenge is complete, with the Koiop Connect team clocking 289,110 steps together.

Last week, our team found wellbeing in the little things:
🚶🏽‍♂️afternoon walks
👪 time with family
💬meaningful conversations
🐶 meeting a new four-legged friend
📖 reading
💛 reflecting and simply slowing down long enough to enjoy the moment.

It’s a reminder that movement, mindfulness and connection don’t always need to be separate. Sometimes they all happen in the same walk, the same conversation or the same quiet moment at the end of the day.

289,110 steps, plenty of connection and another week of making space for our wellbeing.

One foot forward at a time. 💚👟✨

DID YOU KNOW? 💚

Support work is about more than helping with tasks.

A support worker might help someone prepare a meal, get ready for the day, build daily living skills, head out into the community or take part in something they enjoy.

But great support is also about listening, encouraging, building trust and understanding how each person wants to be supported.

At Koiop Connect, it’s about walking alongside people as they build confidence, independence and connection. 💚

Support can only be provided when our people feel supported 💛

ONE FOOT FORWARD 👟💚

Another week of our October Step Challenge is complete, and last week the Koiop Connect team clocked 321,714 steps together!

But once again, the biggest wins weren’t just on the leaderboard.

This week was about finding movement in everyday moments, taking time to slow down, getting outside, connecting with family, participants and teammates, and finding our own ways to switch off and reset.

From waterfront walks and mindful moments to journalling, music, family time and even a little four-legged company, it’s been a good reminder that looking after our wellbeing can look different for everyone.

321,714 steps, plenty of connection and another week of moving for our minds.
One foot forward at a time. 💚👟✨

A little fresh air can go a long way. 🌿

Step outside. Stretch your legs. Put your phone away for five minutes. Take a few slow breaths.

Looking after your wellbeing doesn’t always require a big change. Sometimes, it starts with giving yourself a moment to reset.

Our Head Office team is making more time for those moments this October. 💚

Koiop Connect is more than a disability support provider. We’re a learning organisation committed to building stronger, more capable teams. 💚

Our training programs are designed for NDIS and government organisations looking to strengthen confidence, capability and compliance across their workforce.

From Disability Support Worker Essentials and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First Aid to Governance & Leadership Training, our programs are grounded in the realities organisations and their people face every day.

Your wellbeing matters at work too.

Take the lunch break. Refill your water. Walk away from the screen. Check in with a colleague. Give yourself a moment between one task and the next.

A productive day doesn’t have to mean pushing through without stopping.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is give your mind a chance to reset. 💚

Whilst it’s World Mental Health Day, here’s your reminder that checking in shouldn’t happen just once a year.

Sometimes a simple “How are you really going?” can create the space someone needs to talk.

Check in with your friends. Your family. Your colleagues. Your support workers. Your community.

And when you ask, make the time to listen. 💚

A conversation can happen any day.
