Better late than never! A couple of weeks ago our HillView Care residents celebrated Christmas in July in style.

A festive lunch with all the trimmings, Christmas pudding with Baileys custard, and Rocky Road (because why stop at one sweet treat!). We also visited our local pub, the Fox & Hound for a traditional Christmas roast with friends.

Only 18 weeks til the real thing now, so consider this your first countdown reminder 🎄

What's winter on the Gold Coast without glorious sunshine, and lots of green space! Residents joined Miss Kym and Physio Mark on an active trip out to Greenheart Robina Parklands, a great opportunity to connect and take it all in 🌞

Friendship Day got extra fluffy at HillView Care Ashmore this year! 🧶💕

Our residents spent an afternoon crafting the cutest pom pom critters, each one bursting with personality (and quite a few googly eyes). The finished gang was delivered with love to the children at Kool Beanz Suns childcare, along with a giant “High 5 to Kool Beanz for Friendship Day” card made from handprints.

Today, we're celebrating the people who make Hillview Care what it is 💙

Behind every resident smile, every "you'll be right" moment, there's a team member who showed up and gave their best. Today is for you.

To our nurses, carers, lifestyle staff, hair & beauty, kitchen, cleaning and maintenance teams, admin, and everyone in between: thank you for the work you do, seen and unseen. It matters more than words can say.

Wild morning at HillView Care! 🐍🐸🐢 Residents got up close with snakes, a baby crocodile, and a variety of reptilian regulars recently, courtesy of our favourite snake catcher, Tony Harrison from Harrison's Gold Coast and Brisbane Snake Catcher.

Thanks to the generous team at Mudgeeraba Lions Club and Threads, our residents enjoyed a free pop up shop full of brand new clothes, from shirts and dresses to warm pjs and shoes 💛

As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations, our residents got creative painting wooden Australian animals. A simple activity, relaxing and lots of fun, and a great reminder of the culture and stories we were honouring during the week.

🎉 20 years at HillView 🎉

This week we celebrated Theresa from our enviro team at Ashmore, who has been with us for two whole decades.

Theresa is loved and respected by us all, she always has a smile and a chat to give, and takes such pride in keeping our home feeling warm and welcoming. She is part of the heart of HillView.

Staff and residents gathered for a morning tea to celebrate her, and the love in the room said it all. Thank you for 20 wonderful years, Theresa ❤️
