Paediatric occupational therapy can sound like a big, confusing term, so let’s break it down. 👇
✨ Paediatric means we work with children.
✨ Occupational refers to the everyday “jobs” children need and want to do including playing, learning, making friends, getting dressed, eating, sleeping and participating at school and home.
✨ Therapy means supporting children to develop the skills, confidence and strategies they need to thrive.
Paediatric OT can help with:
🖍️ Fine motor skills and handwriting
🏃 Gross motor skills, coordination and balance
🧠 Emotional regulation and sensory processing
🗣️ Social skills and play
🍽️ Daily living skills, such as dressing, toileting and eating
🏫 School readiness and classroom participation
💛 Confidence, independence and participation in everyday life
At Together Thriving, we know that every child is unique. Our role is to break down challenges into manageable steps, celebrate strengths and help children build the skills they need to succeed in the activities that matter most to them.
Because every child deserves the opportunity to learn, play and thrive. 🌱
