Shout out and congratulations to Carl who competed for Australian in the elite walking world champs over in Brazil recently! 🇧🇷

Carl unfortunately had a calf injury in the lead up which meant working with Kelly to modify training, implement a lot of cross training and some accelerated calf rehab 🦵

Carl found himself a great result regardless of recent injury and we are stoked for him! 🔥

Meet NPP newest team member Olivia 💥

Hey I’m Liv 👋

I became a Physio because I love to help people get back to what they enjoy doing, without pain holding them back. I grew up always playing some form of sports so I understand how frustrating injuries can be, and having the right guidance can make a world of difference.

My experience with physios was always clear cut and goal focused, and I aim to apply the same principles with my patients.

I’ve had the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary setting with a range of demographics. Whether you’re dealing with a recent injury or something that’s been hanging around for years, we’ll work together to improve your strength, confidence, and capacity. From this I have developed a keen interest in anything field sports or gym based.

When you come into the clinic, my goal is to make you feel listened to, understood, and confident in the plan moving forward. My focus is on understanding not just what’s going on, but how it’s affecting you and what you actually want to get back to. From there, we build a clear plan so you know exactly what to do and how we’re going to get you there. Rehab doesn’t have to be boring, we’ll keep it practical, goal focused and tailored to you.

Achilles tendinopathy takes a long time to rehab - there are no quick fixes, especially when the goals are big ⛰️

Ines has been working so diligently with rehab for the past 9 months and a hike up to Table Mountain in South Africa was the test! ✅

Rehab included a combination of heavy strength training, shoe recommendations and modifications, load management and progressive walking programs and plyometric training 🏋️‍♀️

Huge congratulations for your commitment and success with rehab Ines. It’s hard work and there are no short cuts! 👏🏼

Last week put together a 25 x 400m team for the jingle bells relay.

Was a great evening and so cool to see so many people who hadn’t stepped foot on a track since high school ripping incredible laps.

The team also on beat ’s 10,000 world record in the process 💪💪
