Meet Rene!

Rene Cheung is one of the expert optometrists at our practice. She has over 10 years' experience as a full-scope optometrist in regional NSW.

Rene has a PhD in Vision Science from UNSW (2025), alongside her Master's (with Excellence) and Honours degrees. She's also a part-time researcher at UNSW and previously led the Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics course at UNSW.

Rene has a special interest in:
👁️ Ocular disease therapeutics
🩺 Diabetes management
👩 Children's vision
