What a special evening with some exceptional colleagues 😊

Team members from right across Queensland descended on Brissy for the Annual Envigor Excellence Awards, and it was one of those nights that reinforces just how many good people there are in this organisation doing genuinely excellent work.

The best part is that the nominations for the awards come directly from our clients, and are based on our values of Caring, Integrity, Team and Family.

And they’re not just ticking a box online. They actually take the time to fill out a paper nomination form, write someone’s name down and explain why that person deserves to be recognised.

And we think that says a lot about the kind of people who work at Envigor.

It was a great night, in a great room, with a lot of people who deserved to be celebrated.

Huge congratulations to all of our finalists and winners, and thanks to everyone who made the trip to Brisbane to be part of it.

We’ve had a lovely time down at Allora Pharmacy today chatting to locals and handing out tickets to our Father’s Day raffle!

Nicole and the team talked to stacks of people about the Support at Home program and how it all works, with plenty of good chat had by all 😊

We’re also stoked to say the winner of the raffle was … our very own lucky Envigor client Art Parlevliet! Congrats Art!

We love seeing our people bring a little bit of themselves to the communities they serve. ❤️

At the recent Capricorn Coast Seniors Expo, our Clinical Care Coordinator Helena Bernie created something pretty special for this year’s theme, “Connect and Celebrate.”

Helena handmade 100 tiny crochet hearts and created a Tree of Connection, inviting visitors to write down something they celebrate, or something that helps them feel connected, and add it to the tree.

By the end of the day, around 50 people had added their own reflections and the tree had well and truly blossomed. 🌳❤️

Now this is what care is all about.

It’s not just the services we provide. It’s finding meaningful ways to help people feel connected, valued and part of their community.

A huge well done to Helena for bringing so much creativity, warmth and heart to the day.

We’re very lucky to have you on Team Envigor. ❤️

Scam, scams everywhere! 🕵️

And older Aussies cop it more than anyone else. Over-65s make up about a quarter of all scam victims, so it pays to be on guard when you get that unexpected call or an email that just doesn't look right (or looks too bloody right!).

It's Scams Awareness Week, so here's a simple rule to follow:

🛑 STOP - Don't give anyone your details or your cash. They may be in a hurry, but you don't have to be. Take your time.

🔍 CHECK - Contact the business using their official website or phone number. Ask if the call you just received is legit.

🛡️ PROTECT - If something stinks to high heaven and you did give away information, lock it down. Call your bank, change passwords and report the scam.

We're serious about helping our home care clients get strong and stay on their feet 💪

Falls are such a huge risk to older people, so we make sure preventative care is present in as many of our clients' care plans as possible. That means strength and balance programs - not just rails and wheelie walkers.

Our Darling Downs care co-ordinator Maria explains how we work with allied health program BlueZone to get people strong and safe at home. She's so passionate about helping people get moving again!

We've had a massive week of being out and about in our communities!

Today we're in Cairns at the Positive Ageing Expo where the awesome Katie is manning the table all day.

And in Rocky at the Capricorn Seniors Expo, where our lovely clinical co-ordinator Helena is ready to chat.

Helena has been busy making crochet hearts for the expo every night for people to add to the Hand Painted Tree of Life at the expo. We're so grateful to have such a committed team!

Cracking day yesterday at the Ipswich Retirement Living & Senior Lifestyle Expo with Senior Expos Australia! So many people came and said hi to us, it was absolutely buzzing.

And we're all set up and ready to go in Townsville this morning as well at the Seniors Lifestyle Expo as a part of Townsville Seniors Week 2026.

A busy week for the Envigor team across the state, but we wouldn't have it any other way🏃🙌

Today is Aged Care Employee Day.

And while there are plenty of things that make good aged care possible, none of it means much without good people.

People who listen.

People who notice the little things.

People who build trust over weeks, months and sometimes years.

People who genuinely care.

Across Envigor, our care workers, care partners, nurses, allied health partners, coordinators, administrators, managers and support teams help older Queenslanders live well, stay independent and keep doing the things that matter to them.

Much of that work happens where people can't see it, in people’s homes and communities, without a lot of fanfare.

So today, some fanfare is deserved.

To everyone at Envigor, and to the more than 450,000 people working across aged care in Australia: thank you for the work you do and the difference you make.
